CHURCH PLANT
Spruce Grove Church Plant
The Spruce Grove Church Plant is an initiative of the St. Albert Canadian Reformed Church with the goal of establishing a confessionally Reformed Church in the Spruce Grove area.

Worship in Spruce Grove
We gather for worship twice a Sunday at 12:00pm and 3:00pm. Usually, one service is based on a Bible passage and the other service is based on the Heidelberg Catechism.
- Location: St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 101 McLeod Ave., Spruce Grove, AB
- Service Times: 12:00pm and 3:00pm (May 4: 1:00pm and 3:00pm)
- Bibles & Books of Praise: Please bring your own Bible and Book of Praise for worship, as the songs will not be projected. If you are a guest, please ask the Ushers for a Bible and Book of Praise.
- Babysitting: No babysitting is currently being provided. There is a small nursery and a foyer just outside the auditorium and a basement where parents may bring their children if required.
Supervision of the Church Plant
The St. Albert Council/Consistory is overseeing the work of the Church Plant. All participants in the Church Plant are members of the St. Albert Canadian Reformed Church and are under the pastoral care of the elders and deacons of St. Albert.
Preaching in Spruce Grove is being provided by Rev. Wieske, guest ministers and elder readings until the calling of a minister for Spruce Grove becomes possible.
Catechism instruction is taking place at St. Albert Canadian Reformed Church for the time being.
Support the Church Plant
Consider supporting the Church Plant in the following ways:
- Pray: We ask that you may pray that the Lord will bless this work of establishing Reformed preaching and sacraments in the Spruce Grove area and that the Lord may eventually enable the institution of a Reformed Church in Spruce Grove.
- Visit: Visit the Church Plant to participate in and support the worship of our Lord and Saviour.
- Join: Members of sister churches that would like to join the Spruce Grove Church Plant should follow the normal process of changing church membership by requesting an attestation to the St. Albert Canadian Reformed Church. If you are not a member of a sister church and wish to become a member, please speak to one of the elders or the minister.
"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations."
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
"What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth."
